After a long COVID-19 break to on-site screenings, we are thrilled to announce that our next stop will be a physical gathering in Karlsruhe. As part of the EFFEKTE Festival, we will have a screening and panel discussion at Kronenplatz on June 13, 2021. Afterwards, Professor Dr. Thomas Stieglitz from the Institute for Microsystems Technology at the University of Freiburg, the political scientist and co-director of the Berlin Sci-fi Film Festival Dr. Isabella Hermann, and Christopher Coenen from the Institute for Technology Assessment and System Analysis at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology will get together for some interesting discussions about the films and neurotechnology.
An online Film World Cafe will follow on June 16, 2021. The virtual gathering will start at 18.00 and continue until 21.00. A special selection of BIO·FICTION films will be shown and the participants will have the chance to reflect on the films and share their thoughts with others. The discussions will be held in German.
